Hop Along Yogi

Brayden and I have been going to Itsy Bitsy yoga since he was three weeks old. He was the youngest baby in the class! We both love going to yoga; Brayden loves the socialization (and so do I!), and may of the poses are "wind release" poses, which help him with his gas issues! He also sleeps very well the day we have yoga. Last week was the last day of our first session. We got a diploma!

We love yoga!!!

Pumpkins and Spiders

It has been an eventful month for Brayden. We've been doing a lot of "tummy time" (I've been trying to get him on his tummy for more time every day), and his neck muscles are getting much stronger. He can pretty much hold his head up on his own now! The next thing we will work on is sitting up on his own, but that might be a while!

This month there have also been a lot of exciting Penn State football games. Joe Paterno was just named the winningest (is that a word??) coach of all time with 409 wins in his career. As Penn Staters, Dan and I were super excited and very proud of good ol' JoPa! The Nittany Lions are also 8-1 in the Big Ten! Of course, we fully expect that Brayden will also follow in our blue and white footsteps to Happy Valley when it comes time. In honor of all things Penn State, Dan painted a pumpkin (by hand! No stencil!) and we put Brayden in his Penn State finest.

Brayden on the quilt I sewed and the pumpkin Dan painted.
The Penn State pumpkin was just the kickoff, if you will, of the Halloween festivities. Dan's company, EMC, hosted trick or treating for the employees' children. It was very cool! EMC is huge, and many of the departments decorated their areas differently. Some were "Spooky Town" with cobwebs and spiders, while others had music and lights. There were so many treats, too! From candy to cookies and brownies to cupcakes and chocolate covered pretzels, there was so much to eat! And since Brayden is too young to eat the candy, I sampled it for him! Brayden slept through most of it, so we didn't get a chance to put him in his real costume. But I think sleeping is much better than crying. After all, work is boring, right? : )  Here he is right outside of Dan's area.

We also visited the EMC "Pumpkin Patch" where long time friend and neighbor from Whitney Lane, Joy Foster, works.

I hope EMC continues to do the trick or treating. When Brayden is older, he will really love it!

When October 31st finally rolled around, we were ready! We put Brayden in the car and headed to Upton to trick or treat in Dan's old neighborhood. Unfortunately, due to the 'Ween Nor'easter, the power was out in Upton! Because it was so cold, we didn't stay very long, but we got some great pictures!

Transforming into Spiderman!

Almost there . . .

Spiderman!!!

Brayden's a little upset here. It was the end of the night, and we should have taken this picture first!
Hope everyone had a wonderful October and Halloween. I can't believe it's November already!
